Spring brings with it the most amazing bluebell woods, this page tells you everything you need to know about booking a photoshoot in a bluebell wood.
The bluebells are a spectacular annual event across the woodlands of UK. I have chosen the most amazing spots with very little walking distance to reach the bluebells. This makes it perfect for young children, pregnant mums and the elderly. Dogs are also welcome.
I photograph initially from a distance which is really unobtrusive for your family, My long lens allows me to watch from a far for those special family interactions and moments. When your children are unaware of the camera this is when I capture some magical natural images.
If you love natural family photographs, outdoors really is the best place to capture them.

To reserve a date and time slot you purchase the minimum package which is £125. This includes your 40 minute bluebell photo shoot. A gallery of approx 40 photographs to choose from. Your choice of 3 high resolution digital files.
Many clients choose to upgrade their packages to include more photographs or wall art once they have seen their photographs.
Your photographs will be ready to view 2-3 weeks after your session in a private online gallery. You have 3 days to select your chosen photographs.

The protection of Bluebells
The bluebell is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act (1981).
This means it is illegal to dig up the bluebells plant or bulb or for landowners to sell them. (Although not illegal to pick the flowers It is frowned upon. The same applies to trampling on them. Always stick to the footpaths to prevent trampling on the flowers and protect them for future generations.

Toilets none are available
There are no facilities for food or drink
Meeting Spot. very easy to meet as the woods are a flat area, roadside.
What to wear...for a Bluebell shoot
Plain clothing is best with small details, you can find colour suggestions on my pinterest board.
Try and pick the whole family colour scheme based around one or 2 colours maximum: white, cream, pinks, coral, red, yellow, blues, oranges. Just avoid green and too much blue if possible.
If one person is wearing patterned please make sure that everyone else is plain.
Weather...Come rain or shine
The bluebell woods are so sheltered so often weather conditions don't impact on the photo shoot.
Reasonable weather such as sun, clouds a little rain and light winds are fine.
Unreasonable weather such as torrential rain or high winds can cause problems, and in extreme cases may lead to canceling. In this case, a new date would be arranged or you can carry your session over to the next seasonal photo shoot. This decision would be made by 8 am on the day of the shoot.
A note for any photographers or visitors to the British bluebell woods. The angle at which I take my photos hides the footpaths in the photograph. In all of my photographs, everyone is stood on a footpath- They are never positioned directly in a patch of bluebells.
To achieve this look, lower yourself to the ground when taking the photograph. Bluebells can also be photoshopped in post-production.
Never do we at Lisa Victoria Photography trample on the bluebells. We aim to inspire and incite a love of nature with every visit to the woods. The children remember this event and take care in treasuring the beautiful woods for many generations to come. I can only see this as a positive experience for all that visit.
