Westonbirt Arboretum Photo Shoots
Westonbirt Arboretum in autumn is sensational.
It's a fantastic family day out with a family activity trails, treetop walks, gruffalo sculptures.
We will meet by the colourful Acer trees. You will have a choice of reds, yellows, orange and purples. The most colourful display close to Bristol.
I photograph initially from a distance away which is really unobtrusive for your family, My long lens allows me to watch from a far for those special family interactions and moments. When your children are unaware of the camera this is when I capture some magical natural images.
If you love natural family photographs, outdoors really is the best place to capture them.

The Cafe is open 9.30am-4pm. You can get hot food & drinks.

Meeting Spot. We will meet in the Acer Glade. The old Arboretum where dogs are NOT allowed. I will email a map and you will also receive one at the entrance.
What to wear ...for an Autumn shoot

Plain clothing is best with small details, you can find colour suggestions on my pinterest board.
Try and pick the whole family colour scheme based around one or 2 colours maximum: Red, yellow, blues, oranges, browns, purple. Just avoid green and white if possible, cream is fine.
If one person is wearing patterned please make sure that everyone else is plain.
Weather ...Come rain or shine

I hate to mention the weather, but we do need a plan, just in case.
Reasonable weather such as sun, clouds a little rain and light winds are fine.
Unreasonable weather such as torrential rain, thunderstorms or high winds can cause problems, and in extreme cases may lead to a cancellation. In this case, a new date would be arranged or you can carry your session over to a Christmas/bluebell or lavender photo shoot. This decision would be made by 8 am on the day of the shoot.
