You have a choice to have your baby photographed at home or in a photographic studio. Each is equally great, but you will have very different experiences. I suggest you read the information below to help decide which option is the best for you and your family.

A baby photoshoot in your home will happen like this. Your photographer arrives, greets the family, chats to any siblings and meets your baby! Your photographer will usually have a walk around your home checking areas for nice natural light or seeing if you have a baby nursery.
For studio style images a bean bag and blankets will be set up in either your living room or main bedroom. Lighting is on and for any particularly dull weather days.
The baby photoshoot is baby led, this means that when your baby is settled they will be photographed. If they need feeding or a nappy change or cuddles we just pause and talk baby sleep tips whilst we wait for baby to settle again.
Your newborn photographer will capture individual baby portraits and then family photos and siblings. When siblings are involved the bedroom is often an ideal spot for a family photograph.
Mother and baby photoshoot
your photoshoot can include very emotive images of mother and baby, these can include breastfeeding photos or simply soft cuddles in the most flattering light. Lisa specialises in photographing women to look their best and has techniques from lighting and angles of photographing to ensure this.

Your newborn photographs are going to be your most treasured possessions.
Natural and beautiful photographs of your new baby whilst they are newborn. Newborn babies can be photographed from age 5 days to 3 months. Many parents like photographs taken whilst on paternity leave in the first 2 weeks, this isn’t always possible for everyone so don’t worry if you need to wait a little longer. Your baby will be =smiling at around 7 weeks old.
