colourful autumn photo shoot, Bristol
What is there not to LOVE about Autumn?
I have been on the search this year for the golden trees, red vines and crunchy leaves! Photographing my girls at various locations throughout Bristol and Bath to find the best spots for you. Hiring me as your Bristol Family photographer at this time of year is a real treat. In autumn I base my special session days at Ashton Court Mansion and Leigh Woods. Both places just outside Bristol Centre with views of the city and suspension bridge. Photographing there has become a joy all months of the year with the diversity of trees and shrubbery to photograph.
What colour clothing is best to wear for an AUTUMN Photoshoot?
I really recommend taking the time to plan your families clothing for an autumn photography session, to get the best images for your family.
For an outdoor autumn session you can choose to either wear subtle colours or striking, contrasting colours. You will probably know already if you are a person who loves strong bold colours or subtle accents. Also take a look at my examples in this Blog to help you.
If one person is wearing patterned please make sure that everyone else is plain.
Little accents of colour can also be added with hairbands, hats and accessories such as a toy aeroplane or wands.
For some great ideas, please see my Pintrest page.
Plain clothing is best with small details
Try and pick the whole family colour scheme based around one or 2 colours maximum: Red, yellow, blues, oranges, browns, purple.
colours to avoid
Avoid green and white if possible, cream is fine.
when are the autumn leaves the brightest?
The leaves start to change colour in September and are at their peak the middle of October when I most enjoy photographing them.
I am absolutely thrilled with the photography outcomes and my families are too. The colours are so pretty and uplifting so make a wonderful background to all images. You can achieve light and airy images through the day and soft, rich colours in the early morning and late evening.
